Presque Isle Technology Solutions network was built around reliability and performance. This investment in quality bandwidth provides us excellent network performance with a high level of resilience. Our network is fully switched, utilizing high specification components. Replacements for all the core equipment are kept on site ensuring fast recovery in the event of an equipment failure.

Server Hardware

We use the latest in industrial strength server equipment. Utilizing Dell Power Edge servers with Intel Xeon dual cores up to 3.2 GHz, 4 GB DDR-2 800 system memory, dual Gigabit ethernet, Serial ATA and RAID disk configurations. Servers are equipped with the Lantronix Spider KVM-over-IP device for complete remote control.

Redundant Power to the Network

All backbone routers, network equipment and servers are connected to dedicated 250 KVa generators. Power is routed through UPS systems and power conditioners before being distributed to server racks through industrial power outlets. Local brown outs and complete blackouts are not a problem at our data centers, our servers are guaranteed to never experience a power failure.

Server Operating Systems


We use Enterprise class operating systems like RedHat, CentOS, and Windows Server.

Web Hosting Server Software


Time honored software, with our own bespoke modifications and improvements, power our servers. Linux web installations include a web server derived from the popular Apache web server in conjunction with the powerful MySQL database server and Horde mail server. For added protection, IPtables firewall has been configured on all servers.

Web Hosting Control Panel Software

For Linux web servers we use Parallel's Web Host Manager (WHM) and cPanel for domain management. New to our Linux software is Fantastico DeLuxe, which allows you to install forums, blogs, ecommerce shopping carts, content management systems, and much more - with no technical skills required.

Managed Service Software

We utilize a customized version of Kaseya's powerful managed service platform. This allows for automation of many day to day IT tasks that administrators face, as well as provide complete remote management of most IT services.
